Richard Kahl, Howard Rabkin, and John Brigden brought the music of Bob Dylan full force to The Living Room. Our members were treated to an evening of remarkable harmonies and classic timeless songs. The email response from this show was very strong, we are planning to have them back again!
THE YOUNG NOVELISTS
Graydon James and Laura Spink brought their very special brand of beautiful harmonies and great stories to our stage. On a sticky summer night, it was cool and beautiful as our members were both laughing and singing with this great duo. Not to mention hearing the wonderful sound of bowing a glockenspiel! (you had to be there).
STEVE PAYNE
Timing is everything! Unfortunately when we booked Steve to play The Living Room we had no idea that The Tragically Hip would be broadcasting their last show that night. For the small crowd that did show up, they were not disappointed. Steve gave us a wonderful evening of guitar virtuosity and classic blues and stories. When he returns from the UK next year we will hopefully have him back!
SONGWRITERS CIRCLE
Our First Songwriters Circle was what The Living Room is all about. We provided a platform for 4 up an coming singer-songwriters!
Kelly Jamieson, Raina Krangle, Lynne Stewart and Dan McKenna individually took the stage and filled The Living Room with their original songs and stories. It was a magical night where our members and friends were treated to new songs and a realization that the future of the singer-songwriter is in fact very promising!
BLAIR PACKHAM
Another monumental evening in The Living Room! Blair made us laugh, made us cry and ultimately left us wanting more, much more. His dynamic performance was over the top, the large crowd was mulling around for a good hour after the show just talking about what they had just seen and heard.(This night provided our first standing ovation) Blair will definitely be returning to The Living Room!
Whitney Ross-Barris
Whitney brought her powerful voice along with keyboard master Dave Restivo to The Living Room for what turned out to be a powerful tribute to Tom Waits's incredible music and lyrics. Whitney also paid much respect to Leonard Cohen with touching renditions of Hallelujah and Dance Me to The End Of Love. Another unforgettable and powerful evening that was loved by all.

Songwriters Circle 2
Another monumental evening of talent at The Living Room. Hosted by Derek Christie, our members and friends were treated to four dynamic and moving performances. Scott Somerville, Shannon Beresford, Kevin Ker and Soozie Schlanger. Proving once again there is musical life north of Eglinton!
David Storey and Lawrie Ingles
Master storyteller David storey provided the Living Room audience with a spellbinding set of true Canadiana. Lawri INglesd opened the show with his own brand of 'tongue in cheek' and emotional originals. He then joined David along with Soozie Schlanger, Henry Lees and Bob Cohen to provide an incredible musical potpourri as a backdrop for Davids fantastic songs.
Looking forward to David's return to The Living Room!

Finger picking magic, incredible songwriting, emotional and powerful delivery, and a pipe! No better way to describe this wonderful evening with Kristin. Our crowd was 'locked in' from the get go. If you weren't there, you missed another very special evening at The Living room.

What was billed as a farewell concert to Ontario (as David prepares to move to the east coast), turned out to be a warm and dynamic performance that felt as much like a gathering of friends as it did a house concert. David and long time collaborator Howard Rabkin treated our audience to an evening of harmonies, stories and laughter.
Scott Somerville opened the show with a fantastic set of his own originals and wonderful guitar playing.
ORIT SHIMONI
One of the most emotionally powerful evenings yet at The Living Room. This world traveling troubadour had our audience precariously perched between tears and laughter.
Orit (pronounced Oreet) is a jewel that We would love to have back anytime!

Songwriter's Circle 3
On a rainy August night we hosted our 3rd Songwriters Circle. This time with the immense talents of Richard Malouin, Deanna Drudge, Jonny Starkes and Sarah Fazackerly. Each treating our ears to their very personal and very powerful writing.

Fresh off a European tour and a few weeks after the release of her latest album, Lynne returned to The Living Room for an incredible evening of stories and music.
This woman is a powerhouse of a writer and we will gladly welcome her back anytime and often!

Back by demand, Sean and his biggest fan and travelling companion Lenore joined us once again for a fantastic evening of the blues.His Juno nominated album Monkey Brain was front and center along with crowd favourites from Robert Johnson, Leadbelly and Ryan Adams.

SHAWNA CASPI
We ended our 2017 performances with an emotionally charged evening of song. Shawna brought her 'A' game to The Living Room. Our audience was treated to Shawna's gorgeous voice filling the air with the kind of lyrics that make you laugh and cry. Add to that her incredible finger picking guitar work and you get the idea.

SONGWRITERS CIRCLE 4
We started 2018 with another installment of our Songwriters Circle Series. We provide a platform for 4 up and coming singer songwriters. We had our largest crowd ever as we heard the incredible talents of Carly Rita, Kevin Zarnett, Jenn Fiorentino and Sarah Fazackerly. (Sarah was a last minute addition due to an artist cancelling and she blew the roof off!) Once again superbly hosted by Derek Christie
BILL CRAIG
An early Saint Patty's Day party was the best way to describe Bill's performance. Great stories, great songs, that incredible voice and some great laughs! We will definitely be inviting Bill back for a return engagement.
BLACK SUIT DEVIL
Andy De Rego aka Black Suit Devil, spun his web of 'acoustic soul' and held our audience spellbound. Weaving stories of love, hope and the life of a travelling troubadour. We look forward to a return engagement!
CAROLYN FE
This dynamo of a blues singer from Montreal came and conquered The Living Room. By the time her performance ended, our audience was spent. Carolyn delivered an in your face, powerful evening of originals and Blues classics. A wonderful night!
SONGWRITER'S CIRCLE V
Our 5th installment of the Songwriter;s Circle series, where we provide a platform for several up and coming singer- songwriters to showcase their talents. Lone Cat, Ziv Whiskey, Jay Dee and Sagen Pearse proved once again, the talent pool is indeed very, very deep!
Murray Foster
Murray, Ex Great Big Sea, Moxy Fruvous, delivered a fantastic night of stories and original music. He had The Living Room audience laughing and singing for hours!
